Folksy Theatre comes to Dilhorne Recreation Centre
August 11th 2020

We are proud to present an open air, socially distanced, production of Shakespeare's hilarious comedy, The Taming Of The Shrew. Performed by the wonderful Folksy Theatre Company whose unique mix of live music, bold characters and and downright silliness really bring Shakespeare to life for all generations. This is an opportunity not to be missed. 

Site opens at 5pm with show starting at 7pm, bring a picnic an your own chairs, the Tea Shed and the Bar will be open refreshments - what better way to spend a summer's evening!

Tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets and priced at £15 for adults and £12 for children (plus booking fees)

Your safety is paramount to us and we will be keeping to social distancing guidelines and on arrival you will be allocated a marked out area for you and your party to enjoy the show and your picnic. The Taming of the Shrew

Baptista Minola is attempting to marry off his two daughters; however, he will not marry off his youngest, the fair Bianca, until her elder sister, the ill-tempered Katherine, has found a husband. When the brave and lusty young nobleman, Petruccio comes to town, Bianca’s suiters are elated to learn that he intends to take on the challenge of taming and marrying Kate. But will Petruccio succeed in taming the wild and witty shrew?
